Pinnacles and Cape Palliser
Saturday's hiking
On the 10th of October, we took again my friend's awesome van, gathered a few people, and went for some hiking at the Pinnacles scenic reserve, in the Wairarapa region, east to the Wellington's bay. We even took some time at the end of the day to have a look at the Cape Palliser's lighthouse.
Let's talk about the hiking first. There were two tracks: one going into the Pinnacles, and the other one going through a forest, leading to a lookout view of the Pinnacles.
We are young, almost in shape and were motivated, so we did both.
In the Pinnacles
Following the stream in a mountainous landscape...
We arrived quickly into a scree surrounded by the famous pinnacles.
Lookout
After our adventure in the middle of the rocks, we went into the forest, climbing the hill, following the track to the astonishing scenic lookout.
Cape Palliser
Having some time left after our hike, we took the van and we went to see Cape Palliser, the Southern point of New Zealand's North island, and it's lighouse.
Brave enough to climb the stairs, we were rewarded by the amazing view of the bay it gave us.
